Sergey Brin, the co-founder of Google and a member of the Alphabet board of directors, surpassed Jeff Bezos's wealth on Wednesday, becoming the fourth richest person in the world, according to Forbes. Alphabet's shares rose by over 1%, reaching $317, continuing a growth trend of about 10% in the last 30 days, driven by the success of Google's artificial intelligence model Gemini 3. This model has demonstrated superior performance compared to those of OpenAI in general knowledge, mathematics, and programming tests, without requiring Nvidia graphics processors, which has increased investor confidence.

Brin's net worth has risen to $240 billion, surpassing Bezos, whose assets are estimated at $239.9 billion. The top three spots in the billionaire rankings are held by Elon Musk, Larry Ellison, and Larry Page, with Musk having the highest wealth, at approximately $491 billion. Additionally, the U.S. Department of Defense has announced that it will use the Google Gemini platform for the development of its own generative artificial intelligence system.
