This aggression sparked outrage among other contestants, who left the event in a show of solidarity. Raúl Rocha, the president of Miss Universe, announced sanctions against Itsaragrisil, including restricting his participation in the competition. Following the incident, the dismissed director apologized, stating that he did not intend to hurt anyone. The Miss Universe 2025 pageant will take place in Thailand on November 21.
