Sberbank, Russia's largest bank, announces the development of an advanced version of its Gigachat language model, which will include reasoning functions. Alexander Vediakhin, the bank's first vice-president, said the new model will be able to solve complex tasks in science, programming and mathematics. Despite lagging behind the US and China, Sberbank believes its Russian-language adaptation and in-house cloud infrastructure give it an advantage in the local market, where 15,000 companies already use Gigachat.
