Russia's sabotage campaign in Ukraine began last spring, targeting arson provocations and bomb attacks. Young people, often teenagers, are recruited through offers on Telegram, lured by money and psychological manipulation. Since the beginning of 2024, the SBU has detained over 700 people involved in such activities, including a significant number of teenagers. This has led to an escalation of attack tactics, with high risks for recruits and society. The SBU has started awareness programs to prevent youth recruitment.
