<p>The International Olympic Committee (IOC) has reaffirmed that Russian teams, including the national ice hockey team, will not be able to participate in the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan-Cortina, following the invasion of Ukraine. Although a small number of Russian and Belarusian athletes will be able to compete at the 2024 Summer Olympics as neutral athletes, all Russian teams are excluded. Discussions with the IIHF confirm compliance with IOC recommendations on the status of Russian athletes.
