The Russian State Duma voted unanimously to ratify the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Treaty with North Korea.

The treaty provides for "immediate military assistance" in case of armed aggression by a third country. The vote comes as the West claims it has evidence of thousands of North Korean troops being sent to Russia. The treaty was signed in June and approved by 397 members of the State Duma.
