Russian Defense Minister Andrei Belousov has arrived in North Korea for talks with North Korean military officials.

<p>The visit comes as Russia and North Korea have concluded a mutual defense treaty, signed in June and ratified recently. Both countries are targeted by international sanctions, North Korea for developing its nuclear arsenal and Russia for its invasion of Ukraine. The visit reiterates mutual support between the two countries.
