The Secretary of the Security Council of Russia, Sergei Shoigu, warned Finland, Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania that Russia reserves the right to self-defense in the event that Ukrainian drones attack Russia through their airspace.

The statement was made after incidents in which Ukrainian drones crashed in these countries, in the context of attacks on the port of Ust-Luga in Russia.

Shoigu accused these states of becoming part of Ukraine's "strategic flank," mentioning that drone attacks have increased, and if these countries allow the use of their airspace, they become complicit in the aggression against Russia.

The Baltic states rejected the accusations, calling them false and denying that Ukraine used their airspace for attacks. This situation underscores the growing tensions in the region and the impact of European support for Ukraine.

Shoigu's threats come a day after Russia issued a firm warning to European states supporting Ukraine in the development and production of drones, considering them possible legitimate targets.
