According to a SVT report, Russia has significantly modernized nuclear facilities near its European borders, including in Kaliningrad, where new equipment and buildings have been added. The base in Belarus is also being renovated and the Kola Peninsula has received ballistic missile bunkers. The Swedish defense minister confirmed that Sweden is monitoring these activities, as Russia has repeatedly threatened to use nuclear weapons. This expansion of Russian nuclear capabilities is causing concern among NATO countries.
