The Russian Foreign Ministry has criticized Israel's decision to take control of Gaza City, stressing that it could intensify the existing humanitarian catastrophe. The Israeli plan, approved by Netanyahu's government, includes the demilitarization of the Gaza Strip and the establishment of a civilian administration. The war began after the Hamas attack on October 7, which killed thousands, and Israeli reprisals have led to an extremely high death toll among Gaza civilians.
