The arrested man was the head of a Romanian-based criminal organization specializing in ransomware that encrypts victims' data and demands ransom in cryptocurrencies. Considered one of the most dangerous cyber criminals in Europe, he orchestrated cyber attacks that can paralyze companies and institutions.
