In central Moscow, a man staged a rare protest against President Vladimir Putin, displaying a provocative message. After jumping from the Bolshoy Moskvoretsky Bridge into the Moscow River, he floated face up, mimicking a dead body. Rescuers recovered him but his condition remains unknown. The authorities made no arrests and anti-war protests have become increasingly rare in Russia because of strict laws against criticizing the government.
