In a recent statement, Russian President Vladimir Putin asserted that any Western troops deployed in Ukraine will be considered legitimate targets for Moscow. This comes after French President Emmanuel Macron announced security commitments from 26 countries for Ukraine, including an international force. Putin emphasized that the presence of foreign troops makes no sense in the context of lasting peace and reiterated that Russia's goal in the war is to prevent NATO's expansion.
