Vladimir Putin announced that he will travel to Beijing on May 19-20, emphasizing that the relations between Russia and China have reached an unprecedented level.
In a video speech, he highlighted the importance of reciprocal visits and high-level discussions for promoting cooperation between the two countries. Putin mentioned that the Treaty of Good-Neighborliness and Friendly Cooperation, signed 25 years ago, laid the foundation for a solid strategic relationship. Bilateral trade has exceeded 200 billion dollars, and transactions are mainly conducted in rubles and yuan.
Putin also welcomed cultural and educational initiatives, such as the Russia-China Education Years. He emphasized that the close relationship between the two countries contributes to global stability and expressed his commitment to collaborate within the UN and other international organizations.
