The budget allocates 13.5 trillion rubles for defense in 2025, up 24.4% from 2024. The amount represents 6.31% of next year's estimated GDP. Military spending will be slightly reduced in 2026 and 2027, but does not include secret allocations. The amount allocated to defense accounts for about 40% of Russia's total budget spending.
