During an annual meeting with the Ministry of Defense, Vladimir Putin criticized European leaders, calling them "pigs" who wish to take advantage of Russia's collapse. He accused former American President Joe Biden of the "deliberate unleashing" of the war in Ukraine, stating that Europeans immediately supported the United States. Putin claimed that Europe is seeking to recover "something it lost in previous historical periods" and to take revenge on Russia, but added that these plans have completely failed. He praised Russia's economic stability and defense capability, stating that the Russian army is "experienced in war" and that there is no other army in the world comparable to it. Putin also stated that Russia is open to dialogue with Europe, but not with the current European leaders. The mention of "pigs" was previously used by former Russian President Dmitriy Medvedev in 2022 on Twitter.
