Over 10,000 people gathered in a protest against the sentencing of a local activist in the Bashkiria region of Russia.

More than 10,000 people gathered outside the courthouse in the city of Baymak in support of Fail Alsynov, sentenced to 4 years in prison. The rally was dispersed by special forces and internet was cut off in the area. Alsynov wrote an appeal calling on the Bashkirs not to participate in the war in Ukraine.
