As part of an action to raise awareness of the dangers of landmines, Prince Harry, wearing a protective vest and accompanied by the Halo Trust team, walked a mined road in Angola. This symbolic gesture takes place in the same conflict-affected region where his mother, Princess Diana, made a similar gesture in 1997, helping to raise global awareness of landmines. Although the international mine ban treaty was subsequently signed, challenges persist in many war-affected areas.
