Pope Leo XIV will address themes such as dialogue with Islam and conflicts in the Middle East, including the situation of Christians, a minority in Turkey. He will also visit the mausoleum of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and participate in an ecumenical prayer in Iznik, marking 1,700 years since the first ecumenical council. This visit takes place in a tense regional context and will be followed by the international media. After Turkey, the pope will continue his journey to Lebanon, a country affected by economic and political crises.
