The funeral of Pope Francis, who died at the age of 88 after a stroke, will take place on Saturday at 10am in the presence of around 50 heads of state. By Friday afternoon, more than 150,000 people had worshipped at his coffin. The faithful from all over the world, including Argentina and the Philippines, came to pay their respects, recalling his positive influence on the Church. The pope will be buried according to his wishes in the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore rather than in the Vatican Grottoes, where most popes are buried.
