Viktor Orban said European Union leaders should convene a meeting with Russia, similar to the US-Russia summit, stressing that the recent EU statement supporting Ukraine's right to decide its future is not adequate. He believes the EU has been excluded from the talks and that it is essential to give peace a chance. The declaration signed by 26 EU member countries welcomes US efforts for a peaceful solution in Ukraine, stressing the importance of respect for international law.
