South Korean lawmakers have reported that North Korea may send additional troops to Russia to participate in the war in Ukraine, amid an assessment by South Korea's National Intelligence Service. Russia is expected to launch a major offensive in Ukraine in July or August. In exchange for weapons, North Korea receives technical assistance from Russia. This cooperation is based on a defense treaty signed last year between the two countries.
