Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that he intends to travel to New York, despite threats from elected Mayor Zohran Mamdani, who promised to arrest him based on a warrant issued by the International Criminal Court (ICC). In an interview, Netanyahu claimed he would come to New York but did not specify details about the trip. Mamdani, who will become New York's first Muslim mayor, condemned Israel's actions in Gaza and promised to execute arrest warrants for leaders wanted by the ICC, including Netanyahu. Although the ICC has issued warrants for war crimes, both the United States and Israel do not recognize the ICC's jurisdiction, and Netanyahu's arrest in New York is considered unlikely.
