Benjamin Netanyahu said that Israel has no option but to defeat Hamas in order to end the war quickly. He noted that 70-75% of Gaza is under Israeli control and identified two Hamas strongholds. Netanyahu outlined five principles for ending the conflict: disarming Hamas, returning hostages, demilitarizing Gaza, Israeli security control and establishing an alternative civilian administration. He emphasized that Israel's goal is not the occupation but the liberation of Gaza from Hamas.
