Mark Rutte said his biggest fear is that Iran could acquire nuclear weapons, which could threaten Israel and global stability. At a press conference ahead of the NATO summit, he stressed that allies agree that Iran must not develop a nuclear program. Rutte criticized Iran's involvement in the war in Ukraine and referred to the mutual attacks between Israel and Iran, which have led to loss of life. He also commented on the legality of US strikes against Iran, arguing that they do not contravene international law.
