Microsoft has announced that several hacker groups, including Linen Typhoon and Violet Typhoon, have exploited a vulnerability in the SharePoint platform. The attacks began on July 7 and are linked to entities associated with the Chinese government. CISA has confirmed the active attacks and Microsoft has released security patches. The incident is reminiscent of the 2021 attacks on Microsoft Exchange Server, highlighting the increased pressure on cybersecurity.
