On Wednesday, the Members of the European Parliament voted with 355 votes in favor and 247 against a proposal that bans the use of terms such as 'vegetarian steak', 'vegetarian sausage', and 'vegetarian burger'. This decision aims to protect consumers from possible confusion regarding vegetarian products that imitate meat, considering the significant increase in these products in recent years. The measure will be negotiated later with the member states of the European Union.
