During a visit to Seoul, Meloni emphasized that she recently discussed this situation with Trump, expressing her viewpoint on the matter.

Trump threatened Denmark, Norway, Sweden, France, Germany, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, and Finland with a 10% tariff starting February 1, which could increase to 25% in June, until a deal for the sale of Greenland is finalized. Meloni highlighted the importance of dialogue and cooperation in international relations.
