The Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni and the Danish Prime Minister, Mette Frederiksen, issued a joint statement on Monday rejecting uncontrolled immigration in Europe.

The two leaders, coming from different political positions, emphasize that they are united in their desire to defend European values. They have promoted strict immigration policies in their own countries and at the European level, mentioning that illegal immigration has negative effects on society, including increased crime and pressure on public services.

Meloni and Frederiksen also propose the establishment of repatriation centers in third countries, a model already implemented by Italy in Albania, and emphasize the importance of immigrants respecting European laws and values. They assert that protecting Europe's Christian cultural heritage is essential and that those who choose to come to Europe must respect these values.
