On Saturday, hundreds of people took to the streets in several cities in Israel to protest against the government of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, according to the NGO Israeli Pro-Democracy Protest Movement. In Tel Aviv, demonstrators gathered in Habima Square, chanting slogans for democracy and a peace agreement with Lebanon. Some of them carried signs with quotes from former leader Yitzhak Rabin, highlighting the impact of violence on democracy. The protesters also criticized Netanyahu's request for a pardon, as he faces corruption charges. Mobilizations also took place in Haifa and Jerusalem, where people called for political changes and a state commission to investigate the Hamas attacks of October 7. These protests are part of a series of actions that began after the judicial reforms of 2023 and have been affected by the war with Iran.
