European leaders Emmanuel Macron, Keir Starmer, and Friedrich Merz declared their support on Sunday for the proposal of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky regarding a "direct dialogue" between Ukraine and Russia, with the "active participation of the United States and Europe."

The three met on Sunday in London with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to reaffirm their support for Ukraine in the face of the Russian invasion.

In the joint statement, they emphasized the importance of establishing a contact line as a starting point for negotiations, stating that international borders should not be changed by force.

The leaders welcomed Ukraine's recent successes on the battlefield and condemned Russian attacks on Ukrainian cities.

The discussions included coordinating support within the G7 and NATO summits, as well as the need to ramp up the production of interceptors and defense capabilities.

They also discussed the conditions for a just and lasting peace, supporting Zelensky's proposal for a direct dialogue between Ukraine and Russia, with the active involvement of the United States and Europe. The leaders confirmed their strong commitment to continue supporting Ukraine.
