<p>In a three-hour meeting in Rome, French President Emmanuel Macron and Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni agreed to work together for a stronger Europe, stressing the importance of European competitiveness and prosperity. Although there have been recent tensions, the two leaders reaffirmed their support for Ukraine and the need for an ambitious change in European defense capabilities.
