The President of Belarus, Aleksandr Lukashenko, will make an official visit to Pyongyang on March 25-26, at the invitation of North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, according to Bloomberg. The statement issued by the presidential press service in Belarus emphasizes that discussions will focus on strengthening bilateral relations, identifying areas of common interest, and establishing promising collaboration projects. The purpose of the visit is to strengthen the legal framework of relations between the two countries and promote closer cooperation.

Diplomatic and economic relations between North Korea and Belarus have intensified in recent years, with high-level exchanges. Additionally, in May 2025, the Belarusian Deputy Prime Minister led a delegation to Pyongyang to discuss trade and economic cooperation.
