Aleksandr Lukashenko, the president of Belarus, has acknowledged that he applies authoritarian methods, justifying himself by saying that he has no alternatives. Considered the last dictator of Europe, he brutally repressed the opposition after the 2020 reelection. With approximately 1,300 political prisoners, Lukashenko has banned opposition parties, and many leaders have self-exiled. Recently, he initiated a process to normalize relations with the USA, even having discussions with Donald Trump.
