Lockheed Martin has announced a significant expansion of interceptor missile production, aiming to increase from 96 to 400 units annually over the next seven years. This missile defense system, consisting of truck-mounted launchers, is designed to intercept warheads in the final phase at high altitudes. Additionally, on January 6, Lockheed Martin and the Pentagon agreed to accelerate the production of the PAC-3 MSE system, increasing from 600 to 2,000 missiles per year in the same timeframe. CEO Jim Taiclet emphasized the importance of these munitions for the U.S. military and its allies.

The company plans to invest billions of dollars over the next three years to enhance its production capabilities and modernize over 20 locations across several states. Furthermore, Lockheed Martin reported a 6% increase in revenue in the fourth quarter of 2025, reaching $20.32 billion, with a net profit of $1.34 billion.
