German retailer Lidl has been found guilty of misleading commercial practices in France and ordered to pay €43 million to Intermarché. The decision was made after it ran advertisements for products that were not available in all Lidl stores for fifteen weeks. Intermarché has accused Lidl of unfair competition and will appeal against the decision. The case was initiated by ITM, which is responsible for the Musketeer group's commercial policy, in 2019.
