A recent lawsuit filed in a court in Texas accuses Johnson & Johnson and Kenvue of concealing the risks associated with the use of acetaminophen during pregnancy, despite possible negative effects on children, such as autism and ADHD. These claims have been supported by President Donald Trump and Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy, although they have not been validated by the medical community. Trump warned pregnant women to use acetaminophen only when necessary.

Kenvue, which holds the rights to over-the-counter products, stated that acetaminophen is safe for pregnant women but recommends consulting a doctor before use. The lawsuit claims that Johnson & Johnson is trying to avoid liability by illegally transferring obligations, violating Texas anti-fraud laws.
