Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has said that any future peace agreement in the Ukraine war must respect Russia's security interests and the rights of the Russian-speaking community in Ukraine. In the context of the recent meeting between Presidents Zelenski and Trump, Lavrov emphasized the importance of thorough preparation of contacts between the leaders. China also expressed support for peace efforts, and President Macron proposed that a possible meeting between Zelensky and Putin could take place in Europe, suggesting Geneva as a location.
