In a recent statement, Kim Yo Jong suggested that relations between North Korea and the United States could improve if Washington drops its denuclearization demands. While she acknowledged that the relationship between her brother Kim Jong Un and President Trump is not bad, she emphasized that Pyongyang will not compromise on its nuclear status. The White House responded that Trump remains open to dialogue for the complete denuclearization of North Korea, but experts believe there is little chance for resumed talks given the opposing positions. Kim Yo Jong has also ruled out any dialog with South Korea, considering it an enemy.
