The Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has stated that the activists who arrived in the country come from a variety of countries, including Bahrain, Tunisia, Turkey, and the United States. They were assisted by Jordanian authorities to cross the border and receive aid. This action comes in the context in which Israel has been internationally criticized for intercepting the Global Fleet Sumud, which was transporting aid to Gaza, and for the abduction of over 450 activists.
