Jay-Z will headline the Super Bowl LXI halftime show, scheduled for February 14, 2027, Valentine's Day, at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California. The rapper will take the event stage as the headlining artist for the first time.
The announcement was made by the NFL and Roc Nation, the company through which Jay-Z has collaborated with the National Football League since 2019. As an adviser on musical entertainment and social justice, the artist has contributed to selecting the performers who have headlined the Super Bowl halftime shows in recent years.
NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell said that he wanted Jay-Z to take the event stage one day, when the rapper felt the time was right. Organizers have not yet confirmed the participation of any other artists.
Beyoncé, Jay-Z's wife, could, however, make a surprise appearance. The two have collaborated on several projects and have jointly embarked on the “On the Run Tour” and “On the Run Tour II.” Beyoncé already has Super Bowl experience: she headlined in 2013 and participated in the 2016 show alongside Coldplay and Bruno Mars. The 2026 edition featured Bad Bunny.
