Italy will unveil an industrial plan to link the car industry with aeronautics and defense, amid rising defense spending in Europe.

The plan comes as Europe's defense industry aims to increase its production, and Italy wants to create 'European champions' with a manufacturing base in the country. The Italian government also wants to provide encrypted communications for its officials and is developing its own satellite system.
