In a raid conducted in the Beit Jinn area, southern Syria, five people were killed, including two children, following an operation by the Israeli army. It confirmed that the action aimed to capture suspects from the terrorist organization Jaama Islamiya. According to the IDF statement, Israeli troops were attacked by militants and responded with gunfire and air support, resulting in the wounding of six soldiers, three of whom were seriously injured. The IDF emphasized that the suspects were involved in terrorist attacks against Israeli civilians. Since the fall of Bashar al-Assad's regime in December 2024, Israel has deployed troops and military equipment in Syria, frequently conducting operations to keep the area free of militants.
