The Israeli Defense Forces announced that they have killed a leading member of Islamic Jihad in the Gaza Strip in an air strike.

Wael Abu Fanuna, the deputy head of Islamic Jihad's propaganda unit, was killed in an attack on a home. Although the IDF has confirmed the death, there is as yet no confirmation from Gaza. The conflict continues, with Israeli troops fighting Hamas. This is one of many deaths on both sides since the conflict began.
