Omer Tischler, the new commander of the Israeli Air Force, stated that Israel is prepared to act with all air forces against Iran if necessary.
The statements were made at the inauguration ceremony, where Tischler emphasized that the air forces will continue to act against any threat. He mentioned that, currently, Israel is conducting operations in Lebanon against Hezbollah, despite a ceasefire in effect. Tischler succeeds Tomer Bar and was appointed to this position in September 2023, before the Hamas attack on October 7.
Additionally, President Donald Trump suspended the operation to escort American ships through the Strait of Hormuz, in an attempt to reach an agreement with Iran, stating that significant progress has been made.
U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio stated that offensive operations against Iran have concluded, emphasizing that current actions are defensive.
Tensions in the region remain high, with reciprocal attacks between Israel, the United States, and Iran.
