Israel's Defense Minister Israel Katz says the Israeli army has eliminated a veteran commander of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards, Saeed Izadi, in a strike in Qom. Izadi, responsible for funding and arming Hamas, was sanctioned by the US and Britain. Katz described the move as a major achievement for Israeli intelligence. Izadi's killing comes against a backdrop of a weakening Iranian network in the region, which has been hit by recent Israeli offensives.
