The Israeli army declared on Saturday evening that it had eliminated seven high-ranking officials from Iran, including Ali Shamkhani, advisor to the Iranian supreme leader, Ali Khamenei, and Mohammad Pakpour, commander of the Revolutionary Guards.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu mentioned in a televised address that there are "signs" of Khamenei's death, but this information has not been confirmed by Iran or the United States.
UPDATE: The death of the supreme leader, Ali Khamenei, has been confirmed by Iranian state media, a few hours after the information was initially announced by American President Donald Trump on the Truth Social platform.
Ali Shamkhani was a key player in Iranian national security, while Mohammad Pakpour was responsible for activating defense systems against Israel. Among those eliminated are also Saleh Asadi, head of the Intelligence Directorate, and Mohammad Shirazi, head of Khamenei's Military Office.
Additionally, Aziz Nasirzadeh, the Minister of Defense, and Hossein Jabal Amelian, the head of the Organization for Innovation and Defensive Research, were mentioned as being involved in strategies against Israel, while Reza Mozaffari-Nia, former president of the SNPD, played an important role in the development of Iran's nuclear weaponry.
