The Israeli military agency COGAT has announced a new measure to facilitate the delivery of aid to the Gaza Strip, aimed at increasing the volume of aid and decreasing dependence on international assistance. The decision comes against the backdrop of a severe humanitarian crisis, with some 600 trucks needed daily to meet the needs of the population. At the same time, Hamas has expressed its willingness to work with the Red Cross to deliver aid to its hostages, following specific conditions. The war in Gaza has resulted in tragic casualties and an acute humanitarian crisis.
