The Iranian authorities have executed a man convicted of collaborating with the Israeli secret service Mossad, confirming charges of espionage.

Majid Mosayebi was hanged after Iran's Supreme Court validated his conviction. He was accused of providing sensitive information to Mossad. The execution comes amid an increase in arrests in Iran of people suspected of spying for Israel following a June 13 attack.
