Iran claimed drone attacks on military bases in Bahrain and Kuwait in response to US strikes.

Iran has announced that it has launched drone attacks on U.S. military bases in Bahrain and Kuwait, in retaliation for recent U.S. attacks on the country.

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) targeted Sheikh Isa airbase in Bahrain and the Ali Al Salem and Ahmad Al-Jaber bases in Kuwait, claiming that two oil tankers were hit in the Strait of Hormuz. The IRGC accused the U.S. of violating the ceasefire and stated that the Strait of Hormuz is closed to traffic, affecting all commercial vessels. These attacks occurred after the U.S. carried out strikes on Qeshm Island and ports near the Strait of Hormuz.

U.S. President Donald Trump threatened Iran with severe retaliation, while Iranian leader Masoud Pezeshkian dismissed these threats as signs of desperation. Tensions between the two countries continue to escalate, affecting regional stability and discussions for a peace agreement.
